Arvada man accused of killing dog with arrows, by Howard Pankratz was a very sad story of a 20 year old boy who killed a little black terrier because he was drunk! in this article having trust and being mature mught help the situation and it is what matters. i don't understand why the boy got drunk and if everyone knew that he was than do something about it. we all make such bad mistakes and it just proves that we are human.

After I read the article, 14-year-old with ties to area killed in pedestrian accident in Colorado, written by Wauneta breeze. I was so sad because some of my friends know him and my mom works at Horan & McConaty funeral homes and they are doing his funeral. In this article I think being safe and being cautious is what matters in this article. After I read Humane Society directors accused of fraud, By Howard Pankratz. I was devastated because I love the human society that’s where I get all my dogs from. And why would they be accused of fraud in the first place what gave them that assumption. What matters in this article is not the people but the dogs because there the ones that the humane society is dedicated to.

After I read Peters earns Gatorade honor, by Gerry Valerio I was so excited because I have always wanted to win this honor too. The Gatorade honor is when any player for any sport can get elected for state player of the year and more than one person can win this at the same time. You have to have really good grades also to receive this award. I am hopefully winning this in high school! =) that’s why reading this article got me so excited and what matters in this article is probably coaches and grades.

Third-graders try their hand at writing novel by Ashleigh Oldland is about douglas county 3rd graders writing their own novel! In this article, what matters is how at an early agge we are teaching young kids how to use grammer and to let them express them selves. After reading an article called, Cash found in Ohio house's walls becomes nightmare by Joe Milicia is about how money comes between friends. In this article Bob Kitts was tearing out a wall for his best friend Amanda Reece. They found $182,000 in depression currency. Bob wanted 40% but Amanda was only going for 10%. In the end Bob and Amanda started fighting constantly and black mailing each other too. What matters in this article is friendship and money. After reading, Triumphant Obama turns to sobering challenges by: Jeffrey Wolf, I was shocked and a little disappointed, because as a fellow republican I really wanted McCain. This is the first election I have almost died over and fought and cared about a side. When people don’t care it gets me really angry. I think every single humane being should care because it might affect you in the long run. In this article, what matters most is most likely that we have Obama as president now. I did my PLN 6 on a personal problem that has to do with me. After reading Laura Main’s article, Youth soccer coach arrested, accused of sex assault. Had to do with my friend I would not like to speak her name and that coach, Stephen Meyer, was my goalie coach and I was so saddened to see my coach get arrested. What matters in this article is friends and family. I could not sleep for a while because I knew my friend was hurting for this man’s actions. Safety is a huge issue that mattered in this matter and maybe now my soccer team and even all the boys soccer team will be safe and feel comfortable with the rest of the club. The only thing is Stephen Meyer had a stellar background no criminal charges at all but great people make stupid decisions sometimes. In the book All Quiet On The Western Front by Eric Maria Remarque, in chapters 1-2, there is a lot of things that matter. The war that’s going on, World War 1, matters to the germans and everyone involved. This war shaped our country very much so that there was much consequences. In this book there is a young boy who goes through war training and is now in the war at just 20 years of age. What matters to this boy is his colliges or friends as you could call them. One of his best friends dies do to dieses of his amputated leg. This war matters to everyone even to thise who didn’t lose any in the war, but that is kind of hard for this war. These are examples of what matters in the book All Quiet On The Western Front.

After reading Kirk Mitchell's article of Aurora woman who starved dogs to serve jail time I was disgusted. In this article the women’s dogs were starved to death, Neeko a Belgium German Shepard ate the carcus of the other dog to stay alive. What matters in this article is survival and caring for all those animals out there in the world. This effects me by wondering what all the other dogs are going through that we don’t know about. How my dogs could of been in that situation if I didn’t help them out. This also effects the world by knowing that 6 or 7 dogs die a day because of cruelty of humans. In the video “Did You Know?” by Karl Fisch is about all of us because it’s how internet connects all of us. In this video all of us matter and our kids, and our kids, kids matter. What will the world be like for them? The world is growing. This video connects to me because it has to do with my life and every move I am making. Also this video connects to the world around us because it has to do with all the countries in the world and every thing someone does in the world.

Machines Are Us/ing Us!

In the video, “Machines Are Using us” by Michael Wesch, he talks about machines and people being alike. The video is saying that how difficult it is to write with a pencil, and how a keyboard, a mouse, and a computer make life so much easier. The movie also talks about how we are the machine because we do all of these things reports, making MySpace, Blogger, Flixer, and YouTube. Or are the computers just using us, we are telling the computer what’s important every single time we do something.

What Matters To Elizabeth Ann Edwards

This is my collage that I made in dedication of What Matters to Me. Some things that matter to me are my pets, my family, my friends, soccer, and vehicles.

My Pets:
My pets are something I could never live without. Sadly in 2007 two of my dogs passed away. But I got 2 new puppies to keep me busy. Sasha and Annie passed away because of cancer and old age. Guinness is my puppy who is a year and a half old he is an Australian cattle dog and a joy. Toby is my step sister’s dog and is a maltipoo and also is a year and a half old, he is very cute, but I don’t like little dogs. Shelby is our 7 year old Rottweiler mix and is our only girl left. Elway John is my tabby cat and is very athletic and is so adorable.

My Family:
My parents are divorced. I have my mom, Cheryl, I love her so much and she always tries to make my life filled with joy. she tries not to let me down and she is just so amazing,she is so hard to describe. I have my dad, Robb, who always liks to see me smile. He is the one who taught me soccer. I have my step mom, Sally; she is also very funny and makes me laugh. I have a big family; I have 3 siblings, Amanda, my 24 year old sister. She means the world to and she is just one of those sisters who understand me. Luke, my 22 year old brother is the one who drives me to do better in soccer and in school; he is hard core and tough. Daniel, my 20 year old brother. Is the total opposite he is a huge softy. He is the funniest boy you'll ever meet. He does impersonations really well of, Sean Connery, and Quagmeyer and Cleveland from Family Guy. I also have my step sister, Kelsie who is 13. We have our differences but we can get along sometimes, but that is what sisters are supposed to do.

My Friends:
My friends mean the world to me. I have Karmen, Derek, Casey, Hannah, and Angel. They are my true best friends. Karmen is like a sister to me and I will never forget her. Derek is so funny he is like I don’t know family and always loves to make me laugh. Casey and Hannah just are 2 amazing friends that never let me down. Angel on the other hand has been with me through everything and always never stops making me laugh and being the best friend in the world I could ask for. Whoooo! Go friends!

My Sports:
There is only one sport for me and that is soccer. I have been playing since I was 4 and learning everything I know since. I used to be the top goal scorer on my team but now I am the top saver. I have been playing keeper for almost 6 years and I never get tired of it. I play for Colorado United B team. My teammates are also very amazing! Soccer is my life.

Cars and Motorcycles:
Cars and motorcycles are amazing things. I have grown up with both and been riding on a motorcycle since I was 5. I can’t get a motorcycle till I am 18, but still it’s worth waiting. I have always been fascinated by cars and I can almost name every car I see. Since my big sister was never around my brothers made me help them with fixing their cars and bikes. When I grow up I want a Porsche 911 and a 2007 Kawasaki ninja.
